Meeting friends, finding animals.

So the adventure begins on weds evening for Gerald, ally and myself. We head off as planned at 8pm from heathrow. The jorney wasnt to bad with some interesting movies (Gerald and Ally watched a chick flick...shocking) and of course the music of conversation... We arrived at naribo to be meeted by a kenyan called silas holding a sign with our names on. (Like being famous :o ) He then took us via mini bus to the headquaters of the safari company. We met Cathrine, Nigil and Sarah there. We were soon on the road again with our driver Silas on route to the masia maria safria reserve. The first thing that hit me was the roads. Even in the capital the ride was very bumpy. As we headed to the country the roads got worse which just reflected on the poverty in africa, considering kenya is one of the ricest nations in the cointinant. We arrived at the park in the late afternoon for a look road. We got some great views of animals. Including lions feeding on a kill (poor zebra) and a herd of elephants which passed right in front of us. We headed out of the reserve at about 6 and arrived just minutes later at our campsite. It wasnt to bad with flushing toilets :o, cold showers and an outdoor tap. The food was ok and there hugh tea fans! (Although in a very milkey/sugery kind). We got to sleep quite early after the sleepless plane flight. Perhaps comforted by the two masai guards guarding our tents at night....perhaps
